Maia Sandu takes part in the official opening of the Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the European Union

The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, is taking part on Wednesday, January 7, in the official launch of the Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The event, hosted by the President of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, will bring together European officials, including the President of the European Council, António Costa, and the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.

As of January 1 this year, Cyprus has assumed the rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union for a six-month term, during which the Republic of Moldova is ready to take firm steps in the European integration process.
