The General Mayor of Chișinău, Ion Ceban, is calling for unity, responsibility, and cooperation during periods of unfavorable weather conditions, TRIBUNA reports.
“Every year, during storms or adverse weather conditions, teamwork is essential — at both central and local levels, from the police, as well as together with citizens and the media, who must provide information from primary sources, because first and foremost it is about people’s safety and saving lives,” the mayor stated.
Ion Ceban emphasized that behind the work of clearing, patrolling, and intervening in such situations stand people as well: workers, specialists, police officers, doctors — all working around the clock, sometimes in very difficult conditions, at night, in the cold, in sleet and snow, to ensure everything is in order.
“For this, I thank them sincerely. Let us remain united and avoid blaming one another, avoid sensational headlines, and instead engage in a common effort, because it concerns the lives of everyone who travels — both in Chișinău and on the roads throughout the country. And if intervention and assistance are needed, we are always ready to act,” the mayor assured.
