PSRM Reviews Its 2025 Activity and Sets Main Objectives for 2026

Yesterday, the Republican Council of the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova (PSRM) held a meeting during which the party reviewed its activity for 2025 and set its main objectives for the coming year. At the end of the meeting, the Republican Council adopted a declaration titled: “2026 – The Year of the Fight for Sovereignty, Social Justice, and Traditional Values,” TRIBUNA reports.

The document states that, despite unprecedented internal and external pressure, administrative abuses, and restrictions in the information space, patriotic forces achieved a respectable result in the parliamentary elections, due solely to the trust and support of the citizens.

PSRM reaffirms its status as the largest and best‑organized opposition force in Parliament and maintains its firm stance against the policies promoted by the current government.

The party also declares its commitment to building a modern, fair, and peaceful Moldova, where the state invests in people, education, healthcare, and the development of rural areas.

Among PSRM’s priorities for 2026 are: defending the sovereignty and neutrality of the Republic of Moldova, promoting an anti‑war policy, protecting domestic producers, strengthening social justice, preserving the autonomy of Gagauzia, and defending traditional values. The party also states it will firmly oppose state interference in Church affairs, the imposition of LGBT ideology in schools, and any actions that contradict national interests.

PSRM views 2026 as a decisive year for the return of responsible governance, in the interest of the citizens and the state of the Republic of Moldova.

“Our principle remains unchanged: Moldova must be a sovereign, neutral, social, and just country, where the state serves the people, not the ideologies and interests of external forces,” the document concludes.

Following the Republican Council meeting, the PSRM Women’s Forum was launched.
