The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, participated today in the “Olympiad Gala 2025”, where students from across the country were awarded for their outstanding results at international and regional school competitions, along with the teachers who prepared them.
Moldova’s Olympiad teams earned 45 distinctions: 2 gold, 12 silver, 16 bronze medals, 13 honourable mentions, and 2 special awards.
In her speech, the head of state emphasized that the students’ achievements reflect the power of discipline and dedicated work: “At the Olympiad Gala, we celebrated excellence — students who, through passion and hard work, have carried the flag and the good name of the Republic of Moldova to the highest podiums of school competitions.”
President Maia Sandu also expressed gratitude to teachers and parents, highlighting their essential role in these accomplishments: “We are grateful for your effort, for your high standards, and for choosing to invest in young people. And for the fact that, through your daily work, you directly contribute to the future of the Republic of Moldova.”
