The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has approved the institution’s budget for 2026 in the amount of 151,068.2 thousand lei, TRIBUNA reports.

• For the Commission’s activity: 48,188.6 thousand lei.
• For the activity of second-level constituency electoral councils: 15,005.2 thousand lei.
• Over 66,603.8 thousand lei will be directed to financing political parties.
• The budget of the Continuous Electoral Training Center is planned at 5,348.2 thousand lei.
• For organizing and conducting new local elections: 13,059.5 thousand lei.
• For partial implementation of voting by mail: 400.0 thousand lei.

The estimated budget approved by the CEC will be submitted to the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova.
