The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, will undertake an official visit to the Republic of Cyprus on Friday, December 12 – the country set to assume the rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union in the first half of 2026, TRIBUNA reports.
The Head of State will be hosted by President Nikos Christodoulides and will also hold a meeting with the President of the House of Representatives, Annita Demetriou.
Discussions will focus on Moldova’s European path and the next steps in the EU accession process. In addition, opportunities to expand bilateral cooperation will be addressed.
