During his visit to Washington, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popșoi, together with the Speaker of Parliament Igor Grosu, held constructive meetings with Congressmen Brian Mast (R-FL), Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Tim Burchett (R-TN), William Keating (D-MA), Ted Lieu (D-CA), Dina Titus (D-NV), as well as Senators Mitch McConnell (R-KY), Thom Tillis (R-NC), Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), Angus King (I-ME), and Mike Rounds (R-SD), TRIBUNA reports.

The discussions focused on deepening the Moldova–US strategic partnership and strengthening cooperation in the field of security, in the context of the current regional situation.

The Moldovan official expressed gratitude for the United States’ constant support and highlighted the importance of close cooperation based on shared values and common interests.

Mihai Popșoi emphasized that maintaining peace and stability in the Republic of Moldova remains a key pillar of regional security.

US Congressmen and Senators reconfirmed the United States’ firm support for the Republic of Moldova and for the efforts of the authorities in Chișinău to strengthen resilience and national security.
