Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, Mihai Popșoi, will undertake a working visit to the United States of America from December 1 to 9, TRIBUNA reports.
During the visit, Mihai Popșoi will hold meetings with representatives of the U.S. Congress, the White House, the National Security Council, and the State Department. The discussions will focus on:
- deepening the strategic dialogue between the Republic of Moldova and the United States;
- Moldova’s socio-economic developments and bilateral support;
- attracting American investments and expanding economic cooperation;
- strengthening collaboration in the fields of security, energy, and sustainable development.
The minister will also participate in the public event “Moldova’s Euro-Atlantic Path: Regional Security, Energy Opportunities, and Democratic Resilience”, organized by the Hudson Institute, and will meet opinion leaders and representatives of Washington-based think tanks. He will also give interviews to Fox News, CNN, Newsmax, Foreign Affairs, and The Washington Post.
On December 6, the Deputy Prime Minister will meet with members of the Moldovan community in Chicago and visit two companies managed by Moldovan citizens.
On December 7–8, Mihai Popșoi will be in Raleigh, North Carolina, where he will meet Governor Josh Stein, Secretary of State Elaine Marshall, and engage with Moldovan citizens living in the region. The Republic of Moldova and North Carolina enjoy a strong partnership and exemplary cooperation that has lasted for more than 25 years.
