The Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, Igor Grosu, will undertake a working visit to the United States of America from December 2 to 10. The Moldovan delegation also includes MP Ion Groza and Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mihail Popșoi, TRIBUNA reports.
In Washington, Igor Grosu has scheduled meetings with several members of the Senate and the House of Representatives. The agenda also includes discussions with representatives of the State
Department and the White House – Andy Baker, Deputy National Security Advisor, and Charles McLaughlin, Senior Director for Europe and Russia.
The talks will focus on strengthening the strategic partnership with the United States, deepening political dialogue, and expanding cooperation in the fields of security, economy, and democracy.
Additionally, the Speaker of Parliament will meet Moldovan communities in Washington, Chicago, and North Carolina to discuss the current situation in the Republic of Moldova and the priorities of the 12th legislature’s parliamentary agenda.
