Vlad Filat, leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova and former Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, draws the attention of Parliament and its leadership to the way the process related to the case publicly known as the “billion theft” is currently unfolding. In his address, the politician states that this process “continues to follow a false logic, which underpinned the entire conspiracy aimed at diverting public attention from the real authors and beneficiaries of the looting of the National Bank of Moldova’s reserves.” He emphasizes the need for Parliament to publicly resume the analysis of the entire issue known as the “billion theft” and to involve the European Public Prosecutor’s Office in the process for an independent, objective, and credible investigation, reports TRIBUNA.
