The European Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, congratulated the women of the Republic of Moldova for the fact that in 2025 the country ranked for the first time 7th in the Global Gender Equality Index.

At the Women4Security 2025 International Conference in Chișinău, the Commissioner emphasized that the participation of women in strengthening the security, freedom and well-being of citizens contributes directly to increasing the resilience of the Republic of Moldova.

The Women4Security 2025 conference brings together leaders, experts and decision makers to promote the role of women in the peace and security architecture in order to reinforce the commitments made in UN Security Council Resolution 1325.
