International Tobacco SRL marks two decades since the relaunch and rebranding of the historic tobacco factory in Orhei, celebrating a journey defined by resilience, innovation, and national contribution. Founded on industrial roots that span generations, the Orhei tobacco factory entered a new era in 2005, when International Tobacco SRL initiated a bold transformation. Since then, the company has become one of Moldova’s most stable and responsible enterprises, investing in modernization and contributing significantly to the national economy.

Each year, International Tobacco contributes over 325 million MDL in taxes and duties, placing it among the top taxpayers in the Republic of Moldova.“These are two decades of work, investment, modernization, and confidence in our own strength. We are proud not only to create jobs, but also to contribute to the country’s development through our fiscal responsibility. It is our expression of solidarity with the Republic of Moldova”, said Serghei Omelico, Administrator of International Tobacco SRL.

In recent years, the company has invested more than 40 million MDL in cutting-edge equipment and continuous development of the factory. Today, International Tobacco employs 80 people, maintains strong partnerships—including with AGOS Green, Moldova’s largest raw tobacco producer—and upholds a tradition of excellence and unity.
