The remarkable progress achieved by the Republic of Moldova over the past year — the most significant among all candidate countries — demonstrates that Moldovans not only aspire to be European, but also deserve it and work hard for it. This statement was made by Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu, TRIBUNA reports.
According to the Prime Minister, the European Commission presented its annual enlargement report today, and the conclusions regarding Moldova are highly encouraging.
“In just one year, we’ve made significant advances across all sectors: from justice reform and the fight against organized crime to energy, education, digitalization, regional development, social policies, food safety, and fisheries.
The report acknowledges the tremendous efforts made by our institutions, government, and parliament — but especially by the people who work every day for a European Moldova. This recognition is all the more valuable given that progress was made during a difficult year, marked by multiple crises, in which civil servants completed the compatibility analysis of our legislation with EU law, developed the National Accession Program, and worked on negotiation positions.
With every step forward, we prove that Moldova can deliver and that we are determined to fulfill our goal of EU accession as soon as possible,” the Prime Minister emphasized.
