The Cabinet of Ministers led by Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu took the oath of office

Today, the Cabinet of Ministers led by Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu took the oath of office in the presence of the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, and the Speaker of Parliament, Igor Grosu, reports TRIBUNA.

President Sandu congratulated the new members of the Government and emphasized that the Executive has a clear mandate: to meet citizens’ expectations by continuing reforms, maintaining peace, and decisively advancing Moldova’s European path.

She stressed that the new government team is taking office at a decisive moment for the country, when decisions must be made with maximum responsibility and results must be visible to the people.

“After years of managing multiple crises and challenges, starting today we need a government focused on development—one that will complete Moldova’s transformation into a modern European state,” said President Maia Sandu.

She also highlighted the importance of accelerating economic growth: “We need bold measures to boost the economy by attracting investment, increasing competitiveness and productivity—because only then can we improve people’s living standards.”

President Sandu thanked former Prime Minister Dorin Recean and the outgoing ministers for their efforts and the responsibility with which they governed during a very difficult period.

Finally, she wished success to the new ministers: “Before you stands a country that needs trust and results. I wish you strength, wisdom in decision-making, and unity in action. May your work be fruitful and bring progress for the Republic of Moldova and its people,” concluded President Maia Sandu.
