Following consultations with parliamentary factions, President Maia Sandu today signed the decree appointing Alexandru Munteanu as the candidate for Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, TRIBUNA reports.
“I wish him success in forming a government that will gain Parliament’s trust and fulfill the citizens’ most important expectations: safeguarding peace, preparing the country for EU accession, strengthening the economy, and raising people’s living standards,” stated the head of state.
The designated candidate is expected to present the government team and program to Parliament in order to obtain a vote of confidence and secure the investiture of the new Government of the Republic of Moldova.
