47 MPs in Moldova’s 12th Legislature Are Serving Their First Term

According to TRIBUNA, 47 members of Moldova’s Parliament in the 12th legislature are serving their first term, while 43 MPs are in their second or third term. Another 11 have been elected at least four times.

Of the MPs elected on the list of the political party “Party of Action and Solidarity,” 22 are serving their first term. Another 32 have experience in two or three parliamentary legislatures, and MP Lilian Carp is now in his fourth term.

Additionally, 9 MPs elected on the list of the electoral bloc “Patriotic Bloc of Socialists, Communists, Heart and Future of Moldova” are first-term parliamentarians. Another 9 are in their second or third term, and 5 are serving their fourth. Notably, MP Igor Dodon is in his fifth term, MP Zinaida Greceanîi in her seventh, and the senior member, Vladimir Voronin, is serving his ninth term.

Among the MPs elected on the “Alternative” electoral bloc list, four are serving their first term. The rest have held three or four mandates, while Mark Tkaciuk has served six.

It’s worth noting that all MPs elected on the lists of the political parties “Our Party” and “Democracy at Home” are serving their first parliamentary term.

Following the recent parliamentary elections, five political formations passed the electoral threshold and gained seats in Parliament.
