The winners of this year’s National Prize have been selected during the meeting of the Commission for the National Prize, chaired by Prime Minister Dorin Recean. For the 2025 edition, 26 applications were submitted, reflecting achievements over the past year in the fields of art, science, literature, film, culture, medicine, and sports, TRIBUNA reports.
Prime Minister Dorin Recean highlighted the significant contributions of the candidates to the development of their respective sectors and emphasized the importance of recognizing these accomplishments. “We must use these occasions to showcase our talents. Thank you for being part of this effort to promote outstanding achievements and remarkable individuals,” said Dorin Recean.
The submitted applications were reviewed by commission members, and the laureates were selected through a secret vote. The list of winners will be approved at the next Government meeting, after which details regarding the award ceremony will be announced.
Each year, the Government grants up to ten prizes, each consisting of a diploma, a medal, and a financial reward of 100,000 lei.
