At the opening of the seventh edition of the European Political Community Summit, the President of the European Council, António Costa, congratulated the citizens of the Republic of Moldova for the victory of democracy and for their resolute choice of the European path in the parliamentary elections held on September 28, 2025, TRIBUNA reports.

“This victory belongs not only to Moldova, but also to democracy itself, which has proven its ability to withstand attempts at interference by foreign forces. It is a triumph of the Moldovan people’s freedom to say that they want—and are able—to choose their own destiny,” emphasized the European official.
