The Chișinău Centru Court of Appeal has ordered, as a precautionary measure, the suspension of activities of the political parties “Modern Democratic Party of Moldova” and “Greater Moldova Party” until a final decision is issued on the merits of the case, TRIBUNA reports.

This measure was applied in the context of legal actions initiated by the Ministry of Justice—on September 22 against the “Modern Democratic Party of Moldova,” and on September 30 against the “Greater Moldova Party.”

The Ministry of Justice acted following requests from the Public Services Agency and the Intelligence and Security Service in the case of the first party, and from the Central Electoral Commission in the case of the second.
