President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, will participate in the European Political Community (EPC) Summit, held in Copenhagen on October 1–2, 2025. Currently, Denmark holds the rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union, TRIBUNA reports.
The Head of State is scheduled to deliver remarks during the opening session of the summit and will engage in bilateral and multilateral meetings with European leaders, heads of state, and government officials throughout the event.
Key topics on the agenda include advancing Moldova’s EU accession process following the strong mandate received from citizens in the September 28 elections, the country’s economic development, and regional peace and security.
The European Political Community was launched at the initiative of French President Emmanuel Macron as a platform for political dialogue on peace and security across the continent, as well as cooperation between EU member states and countries outside the Union. The inaugural EPC summit took place in Prague in October 2022, while the second edition was hosted by the Republic of Moldova in Bulboaca in June 2023.
