The Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS), which preliminarily secured 50.166% of the vote (791,042 ballots) in yesterday’s parliamentary elections, held a press conference to thank citizens for their support, TRIBUNA reports.
“Moldova, I bow before you! You’ve won battle after battle!”
PAS leader Igor Grosu declared that Russia had poured in money, lies, and illegal tactics, using criminals to turn Moldova into a space of lawlessness. But, he said, PAS entered the fight with what is most sacred: “Our people—heads held high, hearts full of dignity, and deep love for their homeland.”
Grosu emphasized that it wasn’t just PAS that won, but the citizens who showed up knowing this was a battle for the future. “Yesterday, the people won—and we moved the world! We delivered democracy’s most vital lesson: even an abuser like Russia can be defeated, if you have the people. When the state and its citizens defend their country, everyone wins.”
