At a press briefing, the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) presented preliminary results of the parliamentary elections held on September 28, 2025.
The last polling stations abroad—located in Sacramento, Seattle, Glendale, Las Vegas (USA), and Vancouver (Canada)—closed today at 7:00 AM (Moldova time).
CEC announced that the elections were conducted freely, with no major incidents. According to the General Police Inspectorate, 236 violations were recorded, including ballot photography, illegal campaigning, ballot damage and removal, unauthorized displays, organized voter transport, suspected voter bribery, obstruction of voting rights, and interference with electoral bodies.
Voter turnout:
Over 1,608,000 voters participated, representing 52.2% of registered voters.
Highest turnout: Criuleni district (50.85%)
Lowest turnout: Cantemir district (37.52%)
In Chișinău: 375,533 voters (54.72%)
From Transnistrian localities: 12,266 voters
Abroad: over 280 voters
Voter profile:
- 53.17% women, 46.83% men
- Age breakdown:
- 18–25: 9.7%
- 26–35: 17.0%
- 36–45: 23.0%
- 46–55: 17.8%
- 56–65: 15.3%
- 66–75: 12.3%
- Over 76: 4.7%
99.91% of protocols have been processed. Two postal vote protocols are still pending.
Preliminary results:
- PAS — 50.16%
- Patriotic Bloc — 24.19%
- ALTERNATIVA Bloc — 7.97%
- Our Party — 6.20%
- Democracy at Home — 5.62%
- European Social Democratic Party — 0.95%
- All other contenders — under 1%
The “MOLDOVA MARE” Party was disqualified; ballots marked for it were declared invalid.
Electoral thresholds:
- Electoral blocs — 7%
- Political parties — 5%
- Independent candidates — 2%
Final results will be submitted to the Constitutional Court after original documents are received and all complaints resolved. The Court will confirm the legality of the elections and validate the mandates of elected deputies.
