The four electoral bureaus of the polling stations designated for voting by mail have received 2,055 envelopes containing votes cast by mail for the parliamentary elections of 28 September 2025.
The highest number of envelopes was received by the electoral bureau in Washington — 1,162 envelopes, followed by Ottawa — 555, Stockholm — 286, and Tokyo — 52 envelopes.
We remind you that the deadline for receiving envelopes expired yesterday, 26 September 2025, at 18:00 local time in the host country.
Additionally, the received voting envelopes are being organized and stored in sealed ballot boxes, and they will only be opened after all polling stations in the host country have closed.
A total of 2,593 individuals registered to vote by mail via the Commission’s platform https://vpc.cec.md, and 2,472 applications were accepted.
Electoral bureaus will notify voters who failed to send their envelope on time via the email address provided during registration.
We emphasize that voters who did not manage to send their envelopes can still exercise their right to vote at any polling station established abroad.
We remind you that for the parliamentary elections of 28 September 2025, voting by mail is valid in 10 countries: USA, Canada, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Japan, Republic of Korea, Australia, and New Zealand.
