The Central Electoral Commission, last night, annulled the registration of the electoral competitor – the Political Party “GREAT MOLDOVA” – and the candidates for the position of Member of Parliament of the Republic of Moldova from this political formation in the parliamentary elections of September 28, 2025, TRIBUNA reports.
The Commission’s decision was taken following the examination of complaints submitted by: the European Social Democratic Party, the Orhei Police Inspectorate, the National Investigation Inspectorate, the Police Directorate of the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia, the Bălți Police Inspectorate, the National Anticorruption Center, as well as information provided by the Information and Security Service of the Republic of Moldova.
The cited reasons refer to the use by the electoral competitor of undeclared financial and material resources in financial management reports, the use of funds from abroad, offering voters money, goods, services, or other benefits to influence them to exercise their electoral rights, and participation in a disguised electoral bloc together with representatives of political parties whose activities were restricted after being recognized as successors of a political party declared unconstitutional.
The Commission’s decision and a copy of the administrative file will be sent to the Ministry of Justice. The institution will be notified to examine the applicability of the provisions of the Law on Political Parties concerning the Political Party “GREAT MOLDOVA” with regard to restrictions and limitations on the activity of political parties.
