Members of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Policy and European Integration have approved the advisory opinions for the draft Negotiation Positions covering three clusters. The meeting was also attended by the chairs of relevant parliamentary committees whose work relates to the chapters set to be negotiated, reports TRIBUNA.

The Negotiation Positions discussed include Cluster 3 “Competitiveness and Inclusive Growth,” Cluster 4 “Green Agenda and Sustainable Connectivity,” and Cluster 5 “Resources, Agriculture, and Cohesion.” Each Position aligns with the structure of the screening reports prepared for its respective cluster. They contain executive summaries, requests for accelerated integration, assessments of the current situation, and future plans for aligning Moldova’s legal and institutional framework with the EU acquis. The documents also outline implementation measures, anti-corruption actions, and justification files in case transitional periods are requested.

It’s worth noting that on Monday, 22 September, the Bureau for European Integration held public consultations on the commitments Moldova is set to undertake in these three clusters, inviting representatives from civil society, academia, business, and other stakeholders.

The Republic of Moldova concluded the bilateral screening process yesterday in Brussels. Over 15 months, national legislation was analyzed against European standards, with more than 100,000 pages reviewed by experts from public institutions.

Moldova was granted EU candidate status on 23 June 2022, and in December 2023, the European Council decided to open accession negotiations. The bilateral screening sessions took place between July 2024 and September 2025 in Chișinău, Luxembourg, and Brussels.
