Vlad Batrîncea, candidate of the Patriotic Electoral Bloc for Parliament and a leading figure in the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova, stated that “European integration has become the monopoly of a single political party,” TRIBUNA reports.
“The referendum held last year was used in the presidential campaign by a single candidate. The funds coming to Moldova from European partners are not meant for one party, but for the citizens. Regardless of the election outcome, the Republic of Moldova will continue negotiations with the European Union,” the politician told Radio Free Europe.
Batrîncea emphasized that EU integration does not imply toxic relations with other countries.
“We have strategic partnerships with Turkey, China, and Russia. Moldovan diplomacy must be active and wise,” concluded the candidate seeking a new term in Parliament.
