The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has officially initiated the printing of ballot papers for the upcoming parliamentary elections scheduled for 28 September 2025, to be used in polling stations across the country, TRIBUNA reports.
The total print run amounts to 2,772,255 ballot papers, distributed as follows: 2,117,039 in Romanian, 649,573 in Russian, 3,400 in Gagauz, 1,827 in Bulgarian, and 416 in Romani.
For polling stations organized for localities on the left bank of the Nistru River, the total print run is 23,500 ballots—14,500 in Romanian and 9,000 in Russian.
The cost of a single ballot paper is 0.69 lei, with the total printing cost reaching 1,929,070.95 lei.
Each ballot will feature 23 rectangles. The dimensions are 14 cm in width and 58.7 cm in length. Ballots will be printed on opaque (matte) cerulean blue paper. Electoral contestants will be listed in uppercase letters of equal size and font, in the order established by the Commission.
