The European Parliament has adopted a resolution in support of the accession of the Republic of Moldova to the European Union. The document was approved by an absolute majority and provides for:
– reaffirming full support for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova;
– condemning the Russian Federation’s repeated attempts to destabilize through hybrid attacks, illegal financing, disinformation and pressure on civil society and independent media;
– welcoming Moldova’s commitment and progress on its European agenda;
– requesting additional political, financial and technical support from the EU to strengthen democracy, cybersecurity, support independent media and civil society;
– encouraging the acceleration of Moldova’s integration into the European single market and the implementation of the €1.9 billion Growth Plan for economic development.

It is important to reconfirm the right direction on September 28!” said Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Cristina Gherasimov.
