The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, was in Rome yesterday, where she had meetings with the Prime Minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, and with the President of the Senate, Ignazio La Russa, TRIBUNA informs.
“The relations between the Republic of Moldova and Italy are better today than ever. In Rome, in the discussions with the Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and the President of the Senate, Ignazio La Russa, I felt the sincere friendship of Italy and the support for our country,” the head of state said after the meetings.
The talks aimed to strengthen the partnership between the Republic of Moldova and Italy in the economic, development and security fields, as well as cooperation in support of European peace and stability.
“The bond between our states is strengthened by the numerous diaspora, respected here for its work, integrity and contribution to the Italian economy,” Maia Sandu also said.
