For the upcoming elections, the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has developed a series of voter information materials translated into five minority languages spoken in the Republic of Moldova: Russian, Ukrainian, Gagauz, Bulgarian, and Romani. This initiative is part of the public information campaign for the parliamentary elections scheduled for 28 September 2025, TRIBUNA reports.
The materials include the “Voter’s Guide for the Parliamentary Elections of the Republic of Moldova on 28 September 2025,” an informational leaflet presenting essential details about the electoral process, such as:
- the main roles and responsibilities of electoral participants
- categories of individuals eligible or ineligible to vote
- identity documents required to exercise the right to vote
- voting procedures
- steps to follow in case of irregularities
On election day, polling stations will also display informational posters in these languages.
All language versions of the materials are available on the official CEC website – cec.md, under the section “Parliamentary Elections 28 September 2025” → “Information Campaign.”
Distribution to voters will be carried out nationwide through mobile outreach teams.
Additionally, the CEC has prepared dedicated leaflets for Moldovan citizens living abroad and for residents of localities on the left bank of the Nistru River. These materials contain general information about the voting procedure for the upcoming parliamentary elections.
