CEC Begins Printing Ballots for Postal Voting

The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has officially begun printing the ballots that will be used for postal voting in the parliamentary elections scheduled for September 28, 2025, TRIBUNA reports.

In total, the CEC will print 2,472 ballots, all in Romanian. Each ballot measures 14 cm in width and 59.5 cm in length. The ballots will be printed on matte, cerulean blue paper. A total of 23 electoral competitors will be listed on the ballot.

The cost of a single ballot is 2.70 lei, with the total print run valued at approximately 7,000 lei.

The majority of ballots will be sent to the polling station in the United States (1,339 ballots), followed by Canada (641 ballots), the Kingdom of Sweden (406 ballots), and Japan (86 ballots).

It is worth noting that postal voting for the September 28, 2025 parliamentary elections is being implemented in 10 countries: the United States, Canada, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Australia, the Republic of Korea, Japan, and New Zealand.
