President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, received today the letters of credence from eight newly accredited ambassadors:

• Iwona Daria Piorko Bermig – Ambassador of the European Union
• Hubert Knirsch – Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany
• Myles Geiran – Ambassador of the Republic of Ireland
• Yoram Elron – Ambassador of the State of Israel
• Giuseppe Maria Perricone – Ambassador of the Italian Republic
• Hilde Svartdal Lunde – Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway, residing in Bucharest
• Petra Maria Larke – Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden
• Anatoly Buben – Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus

The ceremony marked the official beginning of their diplomatic missions in Moldova and reaffirmed the country’s commitment to strengthening bilateral and multilateral relations.
