President Maia Sandu spoke with the participants of the DOR camp, who gathered at the presidential residence in Condrița, TRIBUNA informs.
“In their eyes I saw curiosity, joy and the desire to discover Moldova as it is. I told them that, wherever they are, this is their home and we always welcome them,” the head of state pointed out.
DOR is a program dedicated to both children and young people from the diaspora and those from the Republic of Moldova and is organized by the Government of the Republic of Moldova, through the Diaspora Relations Office. The program aims to maintain the identity, linguistic and cultural connection with the Republic of Moldova, as well as the preservation of national traditions and values by the younger generations. Starting this year, given the increasing number of applications for participation, the camp is organized in two editions.
