Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov hosted in Chișinău Olha Stefanishyna, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Minister of Justice of Ukraine, who is in our country for the first time.

„We talked about the European agenda of Moldova and Ukraine, the next steps in the process of negotiations, as well as the continuation of the dialog between the Bureau for European Integration and the Bureau for Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine”, said Cristina Gherasimov.

The Deputy Prime Minister thanked the Ukrainian people for their courage to fight and resist for more than 1160 days in the face of Russian aggression, defending their sovereignty and freedom.

„Moldova is safe and our citizens live in peace thanks to Ukraine. For us, united Europe is and must remain an anchor of peace and well-being. We want to be part of this big family. This is what we work for every day in Chișinău and Kyiv, for a better future for our citizens. Europe is whole and stronger only when Moldova, Ukraine and the countries of the Western Balkans are at home in Europe”, Cristina Gherasimov added.

During her visit to Chișinău, Olha Stefanishyna also met the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Dorin Recean, and the Minister of Justice, Veronica Mihailov-Moraru.
