The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) presents preliminary data on the voting process in the republican constitutional referendum and the elections for the position of President of the Republic of Moldova held today.
At 21:00, all polling stations on the territory of the Republic of Moldova were closed, without any interruptions in the voting flow or other inconveniences related to the electoral process.
Thus, based on the preliminary data on the participation rate, the CEC declares these elections valid, provided that at least 1/3 of the voters showed up at the polls.
In this regard, the Commission has started the centralization of the preliminary results, which are updated as the electoral offices of the polling stations enter the data into the state information system “Elections”.
