Candidates and representatives of the candidates for the position of President of the Republic of Moldova and the participants in the referendum signed the Code of Conduct regarding the conduct and coverage of the electoral campaign for the constitutional republican referendum and the elections for the position of President of the Republic of Moldova on October 20, 2024, TRIBUNA informs. 

By signing these documents, the electoral competitors undertook to conduct a fair electoral campaign under conditions of equal competition, to objectively inform the voters, to respect other participants in the electoral campaign, not to admit the use of sexist language and hate speech or other forms of gender-based violence.

In the same way, each signatory in the electoral campaign will rely on compliance with the rules of electoral legislation, avoiding intimidation of electoral officials and voters, jeopardizing the act of free expression of the vote and avoiding corruption by any methods and in any form of voters.

Signing the Code of Conduct is open to all candidates in the presidential elections and participants in the referendum, as well as to media institutions.

In the same event, the electoral contestants and their representatives got acquainted with the text of the ballot for the presidential elections of October 20, 2024 and confirmed, by signature, the truthfulness of the content of the ballot regarding each.
