The Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) will submit today, to the Central Electoral Commission, the application for registration as a participant in the republican constitutional referendum regarding the accession of the Republic of Moldova to the European Union, with the “YES” option, TRIBUNA informs.
Igor Grosu, PAS leader, during a press briefing, said that PAS strongly believes that Moldova’s place is in the big European family.
“Yesterday, within the PAS National Political Council, we voted unanimously to participate in the republican constitutional referendum”, the politician also announced.
According to the PAS leader, Moldova is closer than ever to the European Union. “I trust the people of this country and I am sure they will choose peace and freedom. It’s time for it to be clearly written in the Constitution that the place of the Republic of Moldova is in the great European family”, added the head of the Legislature.
Igor Grosu also said that PAS representatives undertake to go from house to house and talk to citizens about the advantages of European integration.
“I am coming with an exhortation to all parties, associations from the diaspora – to get involved in promoting the referendum… This decision is more important than the controversies between the parties, because the result of the referendum is for the future of Moldova, for a European Moldova”, the president pointed out the governing party.
