The “Together” bloc will participate in the republican constitutional referendum on the accession of the Republic of Moldova to the European Union (EU), with the “YES” option, informs TRIBUNA.

During a press conference, Octavian Țîcu, the Bloc’s candidate for the position of President of the country, reiterated that there are a number of risks regarding the holding of the referendum, but also that organizing it together with the presidential elections “is inappropriate”. He said that the Bloc understands “this political game of the ruling party” and that PAS and Maia Sandu want this referendum “to get the score in the presidential and parliamentary elections”, but said that the component parties of the Bloc put the national interest above than any other interests.

“We are joining this campaign related to the October referendum and we will register as a participant to convince citizens to vote en masse.

We are concerned about the low score and attendance at this referendum. It is important to show that we are a pro-European society”, emphasized the representative of the “Together” Bloc.
