The presidential elections will take place on October 20, and until this moment there are already 15 candidates officially announced for the seat of President of the Republic of Moldova, informs TRIBUNA. 

They are: 

1. Renato Usatîi, the president of the Political Party Our Party

2. Maia Sandu, the current President of the country

3. Tudor Ulianovschi, former Minister of Foreign Affairs (independent)

4. Andrei Năstase, former Minister of Internal Affairs (independent)

5. Vlad Filat, president of the Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova

6. Ion Chicu, president of the Party of Development and Consolidation of Moldova

7. Alexandr Stoianoglo, former general prosecutor of the Republic of Moldova – submitted by PSRM

8. Irina Vlah, president of the “Platforma Moldova” Association (independent)

9. Natalia Morari, journalist (independent)

10. Alexandru Arseni, deputy in the first Parliament (independent)

11. Vasile Tarlev, president of the Party for the Future of Moldova (independent)

12. Victoria Furtună, ex-prosecutor (independent)

13. Valeriu Pleșca, ex-Minister of Defense – nominated by PSDE

14. Ștefan Savițchi, vice-president of ALDE (independent)

15. Vasile Bolea, leader of the “Victorie” Bloc
