Today, in Brussels, the two-day explanatory screening session begins on the sidelines of Chapter 12 – food security, veterinary and phytosanitary policies. The session is attended by the Vice-Prime Minister for European Integration, Cristina Gherasimov, the representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry and the National Agency for Food Safety, informs TRIBUNA.
The quality of products consumed by citizens is one of the key concerns in the European Union, therefore, the rules on food safety are strict and detailed. More similar rules transposed into national legislation will guarantee the quality and safety of food products for our consumers as well, said Deputy Prime Minister Cristina Gherasimov.
Also today, the official will accompany President Maia Sandu to the meetings, organized in the context of her working visit to Brussels. Tomorrow, Deputy Prime Minister Cristina Gherasimov will participate in the informal meeting of the ministers of European Affairs of the European Union countries.
