Today, representatives of the Secretariat of the Parliament started a working visit to ATU Gagauzia. The purpose of the visit is to strengthen cooperation between the secretariats of the Parliament and the People’s Assembly of Gagauzia (PAG) and to exchange experience in analysing procedures and practices of drafting laws, also, to discuss further steps in the legislative process.

The visit will take place on January 26-27, 2023, during which working meetings will be held with PAG members and the secretariat of the People’s Assembly of Gagauzia, representatives of the Justice Department of ATU Gagauzia and the Legal Department of the Executive Committee of Gagauzia.

At the end of the visit, conclusions will be made and next steps for further cooperation between the Secretariats and support to the Parliamentary Working Group on Gagauzia will be established.

The working visit is organised by CMI – Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation in the framework of the project ” Gagauzia Dialogue”, funded by Sweden.
