The President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu met with Caroline Tissot, Director of the Swiss Cooperation Office in our country, on the occasion of the end of her mandate in Chisinau.

They discussed the current situation in the country and in the region, and the bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and Switzerland.

The Head of State thanked the Swiss Confederation for the support that the Republic of Moldova has received over the years, noting that we have a strong partnership, especially in the area of implementing social and local development projects and cultural initiatives.

President Maia Sandu appreciated the help offered promptly by Switzerland to combat the Covid-19 pandemic and the assistance provided this spring in order to support refugees from Ukraine.
