/MOLDPRES/ – An MP of the Bloc of Communists and Socialists (BECS), Elena Bodnarenco, died in the wake of an incurable disease today.   

The parliamentary faction’s colleagues informed about her death. ‘’The lawmaker and member of the Central Committee of the Party of Communists, Elena Bodnarenco, passed away. She fought against the disease much time; she worked till her last days,’’ MP Vladimir Odnostalco said.

Elena Bodnarenco died at the age of 57. She acted as lawmaker of Moldova’s parliament during 2005-2010, on the lists of the Party of Communists. Starting from 2011 till January 2015, Elena Bodnarenco was mayor of the Soroca city. Subsequently, she returned to parliament till the current legislative period.
