US Ambassador Logsdon joined Naval Agency Director Igor Zaharia at the State Port of Moldova in Giurgiulesti to donate an Automatic Identification Receiver. This equipment will help ensure vessels in Moldova’s waterways are safely being operated and continues the 30-year tradition of cooperation between the U.S. and the Republic of Moldova.

The Ambassador also visited the International Free Port in Giurgiulesti and observed the processing and transit of sunflower oil and of grains originating in both Moldova and Ukraine.
