Maia Sandu proved to be open to constructive arguments and criticism.  The lack of intention to consult political parties for the designation of a candidate for Prime Minister has been widely criticized, including by the undersigned, for violating the CCM decision.  The statements were made by the Romanian university professor , Radu Carp, political analyst, informs TRIBUNA.

According to him, Maia Sandu corrected this error and held consultations.

“It turned out that in fact the alliance in the Parliament that submitted Mrs. Durlesteanu’s proposal was not formalized.  Maia Sandu nominated Igor Grosu without her or the candidate declaring what PAS will do in Parliament.  It was understood that it was a mistake to designate a candidate and to say that he does not actually want to elect him.  The PSRM attacked the decree to appoint Igor Grosu to the CCM, but so far there is no majority in Parliament to propose another candidate.  Will this majority be achieved?  An unanswered question at this time, “Carp said.

The expert stressed, however, that it is very sad to note that, although there has been a political agreement since Saturday to recommend the establishment of a state of emergency, nothing has happened so far.  “The reason? Elections cannot be held during the state of emergency, and the vote in Parliament has not yet taken place.  By the time of the vote, preciois days will pass and we will see many deaths that could have been avoided “, he concluded.
