President Maia Sandu signed the decree to update the composition of the Supreme Security Council. The new Council will have its first meeting on January 26, IPN reports.

The Supreme Security Council is headed by Maia Sandu, while the President’s adviser on defense Ana Revenco will act as secretary of the Council.

The Council consists of the Premier, Parliament Speaker, head of the Parliament’s commission on national security, defense and public order, minister of define, minister of home affairs, Security and Intelligent Service director, prosecutor general, National Bank governor.

Besides these, the Council now includes the secretary general of the presidential administration Andrei Spînu, adviser to the President on justice Olesea Stamate, adviser to the President on the economy Veaceslav Negruța, adviser to the President on health – Ala Nemerenco, PAS MP and deputy head of the Parliament’s commission on national security, defense and public order Igor Grosu, PPPDA MP Kiril Moțpan, PAS MP Sergiu Litvinenco, National Bank vice governor Vladimir Munteanu, “Expert-Grup” economic expert Sergiu Gaibu, head of the administration board of the Legal Resources Center and ex-judge Tatiana Răducanu, and expert in domestic policy and security who heads the Institute for Strategic Initiatives Vladislav Kulminski.
