Two adults and one child, recently returned from Italy, are suspected of being infected with COVID-19. Doctors from the National Agency for Public Health took samples. Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Viorica Dumbrăveanu made the statement today. The official also presented details on the condition of the newly infected patient with Coronavirus.

The patient’s condition with COVID-19 is improving, and the forecasts are quite optimistic.

Dumbrăveanu said that at present, most passengers who flew from Italy with the same aircraft as the patient were identified and examined, only 14 passengers could not be found. At the same time, the minister said that four passengers on the same flight are from the left bank of the Dniester.

On 7 March the first case of COVID-19 was registered in Moldova. It is about a woman, returned from Italy, aged 48.
