The candidate of the Șor Political Party, Valerii Klimenco, says that today Chisinau inhabitants need people of action, not speakers. “I think the time has come for the people of deeds, those who really know how to do something and have demonstrated this,” said the electoral contestant, after exercising his right to vote, IPN reports.

Valeri Klimenco expressed hope that in order to come out of stagnation, voters will cast the ballot for those who are knowledgeable and capable and not for those whom they elected last year.

For general mayor of Chisinau municipality, 18 candidates are competing. As general mayor of Chisinau municipality shall be elected the candidate who has accumulated 50% + one vote. If none of the candidates manages to cross this threshold, the second round of elections is organized with the first two candidates, where the winner is the one who has accumulated the greatest number of votes.
