Ivan Diacov: I voted for a corruption free Chisinau

Ivan Diacov, the candidate of Our Party/ Partidul Nostru political party for the position of general mayor of Chisinau municipality, voted for a city without corruption. After exercising his right to vote, the candidate said that “the mayor of Chisinau is the person who can put an end to corruption in the capital,” IPN reports.

According to Ivan Diacov, corrupt people have been around for a long time in the Chisinau City Hall as a “large pool of finances and opportunities for enrichment”. “Everyone promised that we would live in a city with “rivers of milk”, sidewalks, schools, kindergartens, but when corruption flourishes, money gets stolen from morning till evening,” said Ivan Diacov.

By 12.30, in Chisinau municipality, over 95 thousand Chisinau citizens have voted or almost 13% of the number of voters with voting rights. In order to validate the elections, 25% of the voters must go to the polls.
