New Minister of Justice Olesea Stamate sworn in office today in the presence of the president Igor Dodon and the PM Maia Sandu.
“I want to wish you success, the expectations are great both for me and the Prime Minister. I am confident you will be successful, given the experience you have”, said President Igor Dodon.
“I want to congratulate you for this responsible and interesting function. Welcome to the Government team and I want to assure the citizens that we will do our best to make justice to people”, said Maia Sandu.
After taking the oath, the new Minister of Justice was introduced to the staff by Maia Sandu.
“I am confident that soon we will discuss ambitious plans for reform in the courts. I belive you have drawn up these policies and you just have to shake off the dust from them, because they have been dusty for the last few years. I want to start this process together and to be successful together”, said Maia Sandu.
Minister of Justice, Olesea Stamate has a law degree, Master of European Advanced Studies at the College of Europe and a lawyer. She has experience in justice, home affairs and central public administration reform. Stamate previously worked for the Soros Foundation Moldova, as Program Director and later as an expert in various projects. Also, she has experience in project management and evaluation, Radio Moldova reports.
We remind that on Sunday, Stanislav Pavlovschi announced that he resigned from the position of Justice Minister. Pavlovschisaid on his Facebook page that during his work on the Justice Action Plan he identified personal incompatibilities.
